While I haven't been blogging (sorry!) I have been reading! I'm in the process of reviewing many of the books I read in the last month so next week's post should be massive. (sorry!)

Love, love, loved this book!
It's about Felicity Pickle, who wanders from town to town with her gypsy mother and little sister. They wander back to her mother's home town where everything is a little bit magic. Felicity starts to realize that what has made her peculiar and different all along is her little bit of magic. She makes friends and meets family and wants to stay, but her wandering mom already has one foot out the door.

This was another fantastic read, but I have to admit with the book fair, spring break and all the other distractions in my life (laundry, dinner) it took me a long time to read it.

I kept thinking that I needed to make a game out of it for my students to play here in the library. That's when I realized that Chris Grabenstein has already done it for me. I can't wait to introduce my kids to this book and play The Escape from Mrs. Senter's Library!

RATING BREAKDOWN:
Overall: 5/5-- It was unique and fun and I am dying to find a library as cool as this!!!
Creativity: 5/5-- See notes above. Seriously, is there a library like this somewhere?
Characters: 5/5-- Loved Kyle. He was a real kid. He didn't love to read, and would prefer to play video games. I loved the crazy Mr. Lemoncello too.
Engrossing: 4/5-- I can't give this a perfect 5 because it took me so long to finish. If it was absolutely engrossing I would have made the time.

Appeal to kids: 5/5-- Most will like it.
